Hey guys!!! How's it going with you all? I know, I'm very much overdue for one of these things. So...prepare for a bunch of random crap! =O

School: Schooooool's out, for, the summer! And it's about freaking time. I got really good grades overall, much better than I's expected, so I'm happy about that. Unfortunately, I now have AP US history homework to do all summer.

Band: 2008 marching band has officially begun! Our show for this year is Ellis Island: The Dream of America, by Peter Boyer. It's all about immigrants travelling to America in search of a better life. Have any of you guys played/heard it? I really like it so far, even though I haven't heard it with the full band. It's got a lot of cool themes in it. This year's freshmen are AWESOME too. I love them. I can tell it's going to be a great season already, even if we don't have a trip this year.

Art: I have a TON of things started that aren't quite finished yet. Remember this? [link] Well, I added a little more to that. I coloured the fire on one prong and added waves to another - I'm going to make each prong represent a different element (fire, water, earth, air, spirit). I have another picture of good ol' Carla Rodriguez vey close to being finished, I just have to get done colouring it. There's also a rather good realistic drawing of Naomi ([link]) and a metal-ish dragon that I think is pretty sweet. And I have a few drawings done for SaxGirl1010's Vengeance meme (that reminds me, I need to get started on that band geek meme too). And there may be a writing piece or two coming soon.

Other: Uhmmm.....there's other stuff going on, but I can't remember it all right now. OH! I just got Disturbed's new album, Indestructible. OMFG. IT'S. AMAZING. Go buy it now. Or, if you're too cheap...go be a terrible person and illegally download it. But just go listen to it. It's incredible. =O Also, we got a birdhouse in our backyard. So far, we've had a bluebird nest in it this year, and there's a swallow nest in there right now. The baby birds are so cuuute...but the parents are defensive. If you go out anywhere in the backyard, they will literally swoop down and basically dive-bomb your head. It's kind of funny though. And (believe it or not) we have a peach tree in our backyard now...I basically just stuck a seed in the ground a few years ago and forgot all about it. I can't believe it grew! But it actually has peaches on it now! They're not quite ripe yet, but there are tons of them, so I'm excited.

So anyways...I hope everything's going just as well for you guys. I'm going to be really busy this summer (between band and homework and just hanging out), but I will try my best to get some artwork done. Over and out!
